Integral Eye Movement Therapy (IEMT)

Integral Eye Movement Therapy (IEMT) is a highly effective technique for resolving negative emotions, memories and limiting beliefs associated with traumatic events, PTSD, anxiety, phobias and intrusive thoughts.

IEMT is content free, meaning that the client does not need to talk at length or go into detail about  any traumatic events. As well as bringing about rapid change, it can also be used to resolve disempowering ideas surrounding one's identity. IEMT can create significant emotional shifts in people in a short space of time, and can be highly effective for those who have not found success in other types of therapy, including talking therapies.

How does it work? In a nutshell, I will guide your eyes through a series of eye patterns whilst you recall a specific memory or distressing emotion. On completion of the eye movements, you should find a decrease in distress levels, along with the decreased ability to recall the memory in such detail as you did previously.

IEMT is extremely versatile and can therefore be used in combination with other techniques. However, if preferred it can also be used as a stand alone therapy.
