EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), sometimes referred to as ‘tapping’ or ‘psychological acupressure’, is a complementary therapy which releases negative emotions, encourages feelings of calm and helps us to let go of past traumas, retraining the brain to develop a positive and healthier mindset. It can release energy blockages in our system, dissolve self-limiting beliefs and can provide impressive results for physical, emotional, and performance issues.
EFT achieves these results by tapping on meridian energy points around the body (similar to acupuncture points, although no needles required, fingertips only!) whilst focussing on a specific negative feeling. Many people have reported EFT to be helpful with combatting strong feelings of guilt, shame, anxiety or sadness. EFT is also reported to help with physical symptoms such as cravings or pain.
I can teach you how to use EFT effectively personalised to your needs, so that you can go away fully equipped with a self-help tool to use in times of need, or in between any of our sessions to support your wellbeing journey. EFT was developed by Gary Craig in the 1990s and draws its power from Eastern discoveries which have been around for 5,000 years.
